Tata Motors, one of the big automobile companies, recently launched the electric version of its Harrier SUV. It has received a good response from customers. The waiting period for some variants of Harrier Electric has increased to more than six months. It has two battery pack options of 65 kWh and 75 kWh.
Harrier.ev prices range between Rs 21.49 lakh and Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). According to a media report , there is a waiting period of 28 to 30 weeks for its Adventure 65 and Adventure 65 ACFC. Customers will have to wait for 12 to 21 weeks for other variants of Harrier Electric. Earlier this month, Tata Motors started bookings for it. This electric SUV can reach a speed of 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. It has a dual motor (quad wheel drive) system that powers all four wheels. It comes with Drift and Boost modes. Harrier EV has six terrain modes with Sand, Rock Crawl and a customizable setting. It can be charged with a quick charger in just 15 minutes for a range of 250 km.
EV sales have grown rapidly in the country in the last few years. Tata Motors has the highest share in this segment. Harrier Electric gets a 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED infotainment screen. It has a JBL Black 10-speaker system with Dolby Atmos. Its security-related features include 540-degree camera view with blind-spot monitoring, 128 GB built-in dashcam, seven airbags and ABS with EBD. Parking can be done easily with features like Auto Park Assist and Summon Mode.
A different feature in this electric SUV is the Transparent Mode. It shows the condition of the road below the SUV on the central screen while driving. This will be useful in dealing with obstacles off-road. Both its battery pack options come with single motor and rear-wheel drive configuration. The 75 kWh battery variant of Harrier Electric also has the option of dual motor and all-wheel drive.
